Luton, a town of transport. Home to Luton Airport which opened in 1938 and is one of Britain’s major airports. It even doubled as an RAF base in the Second World War.

Although the town was for many years famous for hat-making, it also housed a large Vauxhall Motors factory. The factory opened in 1905 and continued producing cars up until 2002, when it closed down. To this day the head office of Vauxhall is still situated in the town.

Situated less than 30 miles north of the centre of London, Luton has great links with the city and thanks to the motorway and direct train links it is a very popular commuter location.

There are a number of museums in Luton, in particular Stockwood Park where the Mossman Carriage collection is held, the largest and most significant vehicle collection of its kind in the country, including originals from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

There are a number of famous ‘Lutonians’ including comedian Eric Morecambe, actor Danny Dyer and first ever woman pilot Hilda Hewlett.

For a town brimming with transport and motor history, who better to trust with your own transport, or any of your other odd jobs for that matter!

Want to exploit the space above your head? Loft conversions can increase your house value. Your attic can become a handy storage area too, if only you had loft ladders to get up and down with ease...

Your local loft tradesmen can give you a leg up, by installing anything from timber fold down ladders and made-to-measure wooden loft hatches, to an aluminium loft ladder, telescopic ladder or, sometimes, fitted loft stairs. These sturdy and safer alternatives to your standard ladder often allow you to get up and into your loft without an assistant holding the bottom step.

Ask your fully-trained fitter if they can install loft floor boards, loft shelving, or loft lighting to for the perfect storage-ready attic space.
