Known as the heart of Essex, the small but expanding suburban town of Brentwood has always played a large role in British history. In the early 1900’s it was a significant hub for the London Postal service and even held strategic importance in the Spanish Armada.

The location of the Ford Motors Headquarters since 1900 and Nissan headquarters since the 1960s, Brentwood has secured a place in the car manufacturing industry. It is also where computer company Amstrad’s headquarters are located.

Since 2010, Brentwood has been the main location of the incredibly popular ITV reality show The Only Way Is Essex.

Other Brentwood born celebrities include Lord Alan Sugar, singer Pixie Lott, Strictly Come Dancer Louise Redknapp, footballer Frank Lampard and TV veteran Noel Edmonds.
