The UK’s most complete medieval city, Norwich was also the first place in Britain to have postcodes and a provincial paper.

England’s first UNESCO City of Literature lies 100 miles north east of London, acting as the administrative centre of East Anglia. During the 1900s, Norwich’s primary industries were shoe manufacturing, clothing and joinery, but the town is historically associated with art, literature and publishing – as well as chocolate production.

Norwich is a record breaking place in many ways, its cathedral has the second-tallest spire in England, it has one of only two puppet theatres in the country and it very nearly became our capital city 1000 years ago. Even Albert Einstein stopped in Norwich before fleeing to America in 1933. Today, its home to over 213,000 people – all supported by talented local tradesmen.
