Manchester, capital of the north, home of the BBC, has a pioneering media, music, and creative scene. Not only was the atom first split here, but the cities spawned everyone from twenty Noble Prize Winners and suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, to the Stone Roses and the world's most famous sports team, Manchester United.

Before its regeneration during the late 1980s, which transformed Manchester into a major headquarters location for Kellogg's, Adidas, and Siemens, for example, Victorians dubbed it 'Cottonopolis'. Back then, Manchester, one of the world's first industrialised cities, was a processing hub and the globe's largest marketplace for cotton goods.

Manchester now has 2.5 million citizens and is full of ready and willing tradesmen, with talent to match their enthusiasm.
