Known as the heart of Essex, the small but expanding suburban town of Brentwood has always played a large role in British history. In the early 1900’s it was a significant hub for the London Postal service and even held strategic importance in the Spanish Armada.

The location of the Ford Motors Headquarters since 1900 and Nissan headquarters since the 1960s, Brentwood has secured a place in the car manufacturing industry. It is also where computer company Amstrad’s headquarters are located.

Since 2010, Brentwood has been the main location of the incredibly popular ITV reality show The Only Way Is Essex.

Many of the TOWIE reality stars have also gone on to do bigger things outside of the TV show, creating a name for themselves, including Ferne McCann who presents a segment on This Morning, Mark Wright now a Heart Radio Host and Sam Faiers who has her own TV show ‘The Mummy Diaries’. Other Brentwood born celebrities include Lord Alan Sugar, singer Pixie Lott, Strictly Come Dancer Louise Redknapp, footballer Frank Lampard and TV veteran Noel Edmonds.

However, these aren’t the only superstars you’ll find in Brentwood, the town’s local tradesmen are second to none.
From builders in Doddinghurst and plasterers in Herongate to chimney sweepers in Mountnessing, find the local tradesmen you need in our Brentwood directory.

Sitting pretty? Your much loved antique or contemporary furniture may well be dented, scratched and stained, water or heat damaged.

Your local furniture restoration tradesmen can strip, sand and reupholster it to its former glory. They'll undertake anything from structure repairs, re-panelling and spring repairs, to cleaning, to make it as good as new. Perhaps they'll even give your furniture a French polish? Some can refashion your treasures into a new piece of furniture at your command as well.

Save money on buying new furniture, by revamping, reviving, and giving your existing pieces a new lease of life. Ask your local furniture repair and restoration craftsmen to repair your cabinets, chairs and everything else in your home.
