Bolton

Situated in Lancashire, Bolton was one of the largest and most successful textile towns of its time. The urbanisation and development of the town was largely down to the introduction of textiles manufacture during the Industrial Revolution of the 18th Century. It was a 19th Century Boomtown and at the height of its success, its 216 cotton mills and 26 bleaching works made it one of largest and most productive centres in the world!

There’s obviously something funny in the water of Bolton with it being home to some of today’s funniest comedians, including Peter Kay, Vernon Kay, Paddy McGuinness and Ralf Little. Its successful, hardworking characters don’t stop there and Bolton isn’t short of highly skilled and well-trained tradesmen either!
